Bhubaneswar, June 22: In a bid to accommodate the growing passenger rush and ensure hassle-free travel, Indian Railways has extended the operation of three weekly special trains connecting key destinations across the country.
According to railway officials, the services of Train No. 01929 Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi–Khurda Road Weekly Special will now continue until August 28, 2026. The return service, Train No. 01930 Khurda Road–Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Weekly Special, has been extended up to August 30, 2026.
Similarly, Train No. 02811 Bhubaneswar–Yesvantpur Weekly Special will operate until August 29, 2026, while Train No. 02812 Yesvantpur–Bhubaneswar Weekly Special has been extended up to August 31, 2026.
In another development, Train No. 06077 Chennai Central–Santragachi Weekly Special will continue its services until July 4, 2026. The corresponding Train No. 06078 Santragachi–Chennai Central Weekly Special will run up to July 6, 2026.
Railway authorities have clarified that there will be no changes in the timings, stoppages, or coach composition of these special trains.
Passengers are advised to make use of the extended services while planning their journeys. For the latest updates on train schedules and running status, travellers can check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or use official railway enquiry platforms before commencing their travel.
