New Delhi, May 11: In response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Navy swiftly deployed its carrier battle group, submarines, and aviation assets to sea in full combat readiness, a senior Navy official confirmed on Sunday.
Vice Admiral A N Pramod, Director General of Naval Operations, stated that naval forces were strategically positioned in the northern Arabian Sea in a forward deployment. He described the stance as both "dissuasive and deterrent," with forces prepared to launch precise strikes at sea or on land, including potential targets like Karachi, at a moment of India’s choosing.
The announcement came during a joint press briefing where senior officials from the Navy, Army, and Air Force detailed India’s coordinated military response under 'Operation Sindoor'.
