Earlier on Saturday, the women's squad achieved similar glory by defeating their Iranian counterparts 37-34. Collecting these dual championships pushed India's overall Asian Games kabaddi gold count to 13. The men's squad reached the final after an undefeated group stage, where they comfortably beat Japan, Chinese Taipei, Bangladesh, and Korea. They followed up that momentum by defeating Thailand 66-28 in the semi-final. Reclaiming complete dominance after settling for bronze at the 2018 Jakarta Games ensures India remains the undisputed global leader in the sport.
