Kolkata, May 23: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday visited the Mother House, headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity founded by Mother Teresa, in Kolkata during his maiden four-day visit to India.

Rubio arrived in Kolkata earlier in the day and was received at the airport by Sergio Gor.

During his visit, the US Secretary of State toured the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity and interacted with officials of the organisation. He also visited a children’s home run by the congregation, which continues the humanitarian legacy of Saint Teresa through care and support for underprivileged children and the destitute.
