Bhubaneswar, July 15: Two unidentified youths were killed after a speeding truck allegedly ran over the KTM motorcycle they were riding on the Khandagiri flyover in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

According to police, the motorcycle was travelling from Aiginia towards Baramunda when the truck hit the two-wheeler and ran over it, killing both riders on the spot. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.

After receiving information, personnel from Khandagiri Police Station rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent them to Capital Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Police are trying to identify the victims using the motorcycle's registration details.

A case has been registered, and Khandagiri police have launched an investigation. CCTV footage from the area is being examined to trace the absconding truck and its driver.
