Bhubaneswar: Team Odisha registered back-to-back victory in the league round match of the 79th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2025–26, defeating Telangana 1-0 at Narainpur, Chhattisgarh on Wednesday.
The all-important goal scored by Odisha skipper Kartik Hental in the 42nd minutes, after the change of sides Telangana created few opportunities, but failed to cross past Odisha defenders. Earlier in the first league round match Odisha edged out Madhya Pradesh 4-0 goals. Team Odisha will play in the next match against the host Chhattisgarh on 26th December 2025.
