Ayodhya, July 7: Former Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust chief Champat Rai on Tuesday said he would respond to allegations of embezzlement of donations only after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) submits its final report.

In a handwritten letter addressed to “Ram bhakts,” Rai rejected the accusations, describing them as “baseless allegations” made against him.

Sharing a photograph of the letter on social media platform X, Rai also posted a verse from theRamcharitmanas: “Dheeraj dharm mitra aru naari, aapad kaal parikhiye chari,” which means patience, righteousness, friends, and one’s spouse are tested during difficult times.

Rai’s statement comes amid ongoing scrutiny over allegations related to the handling of donations associated with the Ram temple trust.
