Aska, Ap 2: A Plus-III student tragically passed away at MKCG Medical College and Hospital while undergoing treatment after allegedly setting herself on fire due to a love affair. The incident occurred in Bhetanai village, under the Kotinada police jurisdiction in Ganjam district.

Reports suggest that the girl doused herself with kerosene and set herself ablaze. She was initially rushed to Aska Hospital before being transferred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital due to the severity of her burns, which covered over 60% of her body, including her face and neck.
