Sambalpur, March 29: In a bizarre, a Post Graduate girl of VIMSAR Burla in Odisha has reportedly attempted suicide with excessive medication on Sunday.

The victim has been admitted to the hospital whose condition is stated to be critical.

She has reportedly consumed at least 30 tablets for which she went unconscious.She was rescued immediately and rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital for resuscitation.

The incident has been officially confirmed by the in-charge Director, Lal Mohan Nayak, who stated that the student’s condition is now stable. She underwent dialysis on the following day as part of her treatment.

The reason behind her bid is yet to be ascertained.A detailed inquiry will follow once the student regains full health, to determine the circumstances that led to the incident, Nayak added.
