Bhubaneswar, July 22: Chief Secretary Anu Garg reviewed the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and the Annual Action Plan (AAP) for 2026-27 at Lok Seva Bhawan.

A revised AAP worth ₹1,037.19 crore was presented for implementing 16 state-linked schemes focusing on food security, climate resilience, agricultural technology, and national priority programmes. The meeting also reviewed a proposed ₹15.01 crore 'Kapas Kanti' Mission to boost cotton production in eight districts.

It also reviewed projects on clean energy from agricultural waste, beekeeping, tuber-based integrated farming, and reducing labour for women farmers.

Reviewing watershed development and the REWARD Odisha programme, Garg directed officials to complete projects on time, enhance agricultural productivity, increase farmers' income, promote climate-resilient agriculture, expand micro-irrigation, encourage natural farming, and prepare a three-year roadmap for the agriculture and allied sectors.
