Bhubaneswar, July 14: Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested Sanjay Kumar Kispatta, Executive Engineer of Odisha Construction Corporation (OCC) Ltd., Bhubaneswar, who is currently on deputation to the Lower Suktel Project at Balangir, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
According to the Vigilance Department, searches conducted at properties linked to Kispatta allegedly revealed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The seized assets include two multi-storeyed buildings, nine high-value plots, bank and other deposits worth ₹46.09 lakh, cash amounting to ₹1.16 lakh, 325.562 grams of gold, 1.121 kilograms of silver, two four-wheelers and other valuables.
Among the properties is an 8,000-square-foot commercial building comprising 23 rooms and equipped with amenities comparable to those of a three-star hotel, officials said.
The Vigilance Department stated that Kispatta failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the assets found during the searches.
Following the investigation, Koraput Vigilance Police Station Case No. 15/2026 has been registered against him under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018.
The accused will be produced before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore. Further investigation into the case is underway.
