After learning about it, the family members of the victims filed a police complaint. Acting on it, the police swung into action and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits involved.
As per reports, the two girls had gone to a wedding on June 3 but later went missing. Worried about their safety, the families launched a frantic search in the area. Later, they found out that two young men at the event had taken them away.
Later, they got to know that two friends of these youths intercepted the girls midway and took them to secluded place. They then held the two girls captive and sexually assaulted them. Thereafter, they abandoned them and fled from the spot.
When the families learned where the girls were, they quickly went to the location and brought them home. Later, they spoke with the villagers and filed a police complaint against the four youths on June 4.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
