Puri, April 15: Ahead of the 61st edition of the Femina Miss India event scheduled in Bhubaneswar on April 18, contestants from across the country visited the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri to seek divine blessings.
A total of 30 state winners, who have qualified for the prestigious pageant, reached the temple, with 18 contestants arriving in the early hours along with officials. They offered prayers at the Arun Stambha near the Singhadwara and had darshan of Patitapabana before entering the temple through the Baishi Pahacha.
After the Mangala Alati, the contestants had darshan of the deities seated on the Ratna Singhasan. The participants appeared deeply moved and described the experience as spiritually uplifting, with many calling it a long-cherished dream fulfilled.
The temple and police administrations had made special arrangements for their smooth darshan. The contestants also prayed for the well-being of their respective states and the country.
Dressed in traditional attire, the participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to seek blessings ahead of the national event. Following the visit, they also took part in a photo session.
With the grand finale nearing, the contestants are now preparing for the competition, carrying the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
