Doctors save 7-month-old infant after removing clip from throat

A seven-month-old infant narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation after doctors successfully removed a clip lodged in the child's throat at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital.

Bhubaneswar, May 30: A seven-month-old infant narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation after doctors successfully removed a clip lodged in the child's throat at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital.

According to reports, the infant accidentally swallowed a clip while playing, causing it to get stuck in the throat and leading to severe breathing difficulties. The child was immediately rushed to the hospital by family members.

Considering the critical condition of the infant, doctors decided to perform an emergency surgery. A team led by ENT specialists Rajesh Kar and Gopal Nayak successfully removed the clip and saved the child's life.

The infant is now reported to be out of danger and recovering well. The successful operation has drawn widespread appreciation for the medical team and their timely intervention.
