Bhubaneswar: Khordha District Chess Association under the aegis of All Odisha Chess Association will host 1st Dr Debendra Pradhan Memorial Odisha State U-7 Boys and Girls Chess Championship 2026 to be held from 5-7 May at Pro-Chessta here.
Players born on after 1st January 2019 will participate in the three day long tournament, which featured a total cash award of Rs 20,000.
Top two players from each categories boys and girls will be selected to represent the State in the forthcoming National U-7 Open and Girls Chess Championships to be held at Maharashtra from 7-11 June 2026
The tournament schedule and brochure was launched by Odisha Olympic Association President Samir Mohanty in presence of Khordha District Chess Association Secretary Subhasis Mohanty.
