Nuapada, Oct 6: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Nuapada district on Monday as part of an official tour that includes multiple inaugurations and a large public meeting. The visit comes ahead of the upcoming by-election in Nuapada, and is expected to boost the political momentum in the region.
According to official sources, the Chief Minister will arrive at Gotama Airstrip at 11:00 AM. He will proceed to the Circuit House and later attend a public meeting at the Mini Stadium at 11:40 AM, where over 20,000 people are expected to gather.
During the event, CM Majhi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various developmental projects and is also likely to announce several new initiatives for the district.
In view of the high-profile visit, the Nuapada district administration has put in place tight security arrangements, especially from the airstrip to the venue. Senior officials including the District Collector, Health Minister, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Kalahandi MP, and Rajya Sabha MP Sujit Kumar will be present at the event.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar from Gotama Airstrip at 3:35 PM after concluding his engagements.
