CBSE launches Class XII verification & re-evaluation portal after technical delay

New Delhi, Jun 2: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced that its verification and re-evaluation portal for Class XII students is now operational, bringing relief to thousands of students and parents after a delay caused by technical and cybersecurity concerns.

In a post on X, CBSE Headquarters informed students that the portal had gone live and urged them to carefully follow the application process for verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer scripts.

"The verification and re-evaluation portal is now LIVE. Please watch the video carefully for step-by-step instructions on how to apply for Verification of Marks and Re-evaluation," CBSE stated.

The launch comes after the board postponed the portal's activation, which was originally scheduled for June 1, 2026. The delay had raised concerns among students, particularly following reports of technical glitches during the answer-sheet access process earlier this month.

CBSE had earlier said that the portal would facilitate a transparent and seamless process for students seeking verification of marks and re-evaluation of their answer books. The board emphasized that the postponement was necessary to ensure the highest standards of evaluation and system reliability.

Students facing any issues or requiring clarification have been advised to contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004 or email [email protected].

The portal's activation follows CBSE's efforts to strengthen cybersecurity measures on the OnMark platform, which is operated by its service provider. The board recently deployed cybersecurity experts from various government agencies and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to assess and enhance the platform's security infrastructure.

According to CBSE, identified vulnerabilities have been addressed, and additional security checks are being carried out to eliminate any remaining risks. The board also acknowledged the role of ethical hackers and concerned citizens who reported potential security flaws, helping improve the system's safety and reliability.

The development comes amid growing scrutiny over technical issues in CBSE's post-result services and concerns raised by students regarding discrepancies in evaluated answer sheets. With the portal now operational, students can proceed with their applications for verification and re-evaluation of their Class 12 examination results.
