Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: In a closely watched election marked by high-profile candidates and spirited participation, Pradeep Kumar Jena, former Chief Secretary of Odisha, was elected President of the Bhubaneswar Club by a narrow margin of 18 votes.

The elections, held on Saturday, drew considerable interest, especially as it featured a high-stakes contest between two former Chief SecretariesAsit Tripathy and Pradeep Kumar Jena—both prominent figures in Odisha’s administrative circles. Tripathy, a two-time president of the club, was seen as a formidable contender.

  • Vice President: Pragati Mohanty (secured a comfortable margin of 60 votes)
  • Secretary: Lalit Das, retired IPS officer, (won by a margin of 76 votes)
