Bhubaneswar, April 21: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday announced the results of JEE Main 2026 Session–2, Paper–1 (BE/B.Tech), with 26 candidates securing a perfect 100 percentile.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana produced the highest number of toppers, with five candidates each achieving 100 percentile. Rajasthan followed with four toppers, while Delhi had three. Haryana and Maharashtra recorded two toppers each, and one candidate each from Chandigarh, Odisha, Bihar and Gujarat also secured a perfect score.
A total of 53 candidates have been declared state toppers. Odisha’s Bhavesh Patra, who had earlier topped Session–1 with 100 percentile, repeated his performance in Session–2, retaining his position.
The examination was conducted from April 2 to April 8. Out of 11,10,904 registered candidates, 10,34,330 appeared for the test, including 7,08,163 male and 3,26,167 female candidates. Across both sessions, 16,04,854 candidates registered, while 15,38,468 appeared.
As per the NTA data, Chandigarh’s Aarush Singhal is among those who secured a perfect score. In the General category, 24 candidates achieved 100 percentile. Sai Ritwik Reddy Venkata Reddy Bhalla from Telangana topped the EWS category with 100 percentile, while Narendra Babu Gari Mahit from Andhra Pradesh topped the OBC category with a perfect NTA score.
In other categories, Dev Srived from Andhra Pradesh topped the SC category with 99.99 percentile, Dakesh Sehra from Rajasthan led the ST category with 99.99 percentile, and Aresh Jain from Madhya Pradesh topped the PwD category with 99.92 percentile. Among female candidates, Mallavarapu Aasna from Telangana emerged as the national topper with 99.99 percentile.
Meanwhile, registration for JEE Advanced 2026 will begin on April 23. Eligible candidates can apply online till May 2, with the fee payment deadline set for May 4. The examination will be held on May 17 in two shifts—Paper–1 from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper–2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Admit cards will be released on May 11, and the final answer key is scheduled for June 1. IIT Roorkee will conduct this year’s JEE Advanced.
