Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: A fire broke out at a supermarket near Dhauli, Lingipur in Bhubaneswar on Monday night around 10:30 pm. The fire has caused a massive blaze, and the firefighting team is working tirelessly to bring it under control.

According to reports, eight fire engines are engaged in extinguishing the fire, and additional support from more fire engines is expected today.

The fire is being tackled using a hydraulic way that can reach up to 20 feet to help in the firefighting operation. New techniques are also being implemented to extinguish the fire effectively.

The building’s structure has suffered significant damage, with major cracks appearing on the walls. The fire department is attempting to break parts of the structure to prevent further damage. There are concerns that if the walls collapse, it may lead to more extensive damage to the building.

A notable aspect of the incident is that there are no windows in the building, which makes it even more challenging to contain the fire despite the intense efforts. Smoke and flames are pouring out of the building, and nearby shops and homes are at risk due to the intensity of the fire. Additionally, electricity supply to the entire area has been disrupted since last night as a safety precaution.
