Bhubaneswar, Jan 16: Odisha-based defence technology firm, IG Defence, has secured significant orders from the Indian Army and Indian Navy for its indigenous counter-drone technology, the IG T-Shul Pulse Anti-Drone Gun. This handheld electronic warfare system is designed to jam and neutralise enemy drones, offering an effective solution for countering aerial threats.

The IG T-Shul Pulse Anti-Drone Gun is lightweight and can be rapidly deployed in operational areas without requiring extensive setup, making it ideal for troops on the ground. It boasts a jamming range of up to two kilometres under clear line-of-sight conditions, providing immediate defence against potential drone intrusions.

Developed to support frontline soldiers and security personnel tasked with protecting military bases and critical infrastructure, the system reflects the Indian Armed Forces' growing focus on preparing for modern aerial threats.

Maj Gen R C Padhi, Senior Vice President of IG Defence, emphasised the importance of homegrown defence systems, noting that they not only improve quick-response capabilities but also contribute to India’s long-term self-reliance in defence technologies.

This order highlights the increasing recognition of indigenous solutions to combat evolving threats, reinforcing India’s commitment to enhancing its defence infrastructure with cutting-edge technologies.
