Bhubaneswar: Fast pace developments taking place in the Sandhya Theatre stampede death case.

Sunday evening Hyderabad Police released the video footage of star actor Allu Arjun’s road show to Sandhya Theatre on Dec 4.

On Monday night, police summoned actor Allu Arjun to join investigation.

On Tuesday, as the actor went to Chikkadapalli PS to join the investigation, after questioning him for two-long hours, cops arrested his bouncer (security) head Anthony, said a release of Hyderabad police.

The release stated that he has been arrested as the prime accused of the stampede death case.

It needs mentioning that Hyderabad Police had been blaming the star actor’s security personnel’s (bouncers) for the stampede at Sandhya Theatre on Dec 4.

As per video footages released by Police, a clip was shown where it is seen pushing of unruly crowds by the actor’s private security personnel.

WHAT POLICE ASKED ALLU ARJUN?

The summoning of the star actor to join investigation after releasing the complete video timeline of the actor’s visit to Sandhya theatre, the stampede hours and his exit from the theatre, it is assumed that the Hyderabad police have done his full home work to grill the star actor, especially on the following lines.

• In High Court, senior counsel has presented the permission document showing seal of the CP of Hyderabad police.
• In HC, Judge then said Allu Arjun’s proposed visit is known to the Hyderabad police, the seal proves that.
• But police on Sunday said the approval was not given to Allu Arjun to visit Sandhya Theatres
• In HC, too, the public prosecutor has argued that Police had denied permission to the actor’s proposed visit to the Cinema house.
• Today, it is learnt that Police have asked Allu Arjun how he took off his roadshow when he was denied permission.
• Police first asked whether the actor has the knowledge that police had denied permission to his visit.
•  The Hyderabad police asked who has planned and managed his road show from RTC crossroads to Sandhya Theatres.
• More so, on Sunday, Police claimed that we informed about a person’s death to actor Allu Arjun at around 11:40-11:45pm, which was earlier denied by the Actor.
• As per Allu Arjun’s statement, he knew about the tragedy on Dec 5 mornings.
• Police today asked when he knew about the death of Revathy in stampede, and recorded his statement.  
• Police asked the actor to narrate the whole sequence of the events that led to his exit at 12:10 AM.
• The whole questioning of the actor has been done in presence of his advocate.

WHAT IS THE CASE?

The Hyderabad Police is investigating the case of death of a 35 YO woman Revathy in a stampede inside Sandhya Theatres on Dec 4 during visit of the actor Allu Arjun to the theatre. In the stampede, the 9 YO son of deceased Revathy, Sri Tej, was critically injured and had been on life support system since then.

The Police have first arrested the star actor Allu Arjun On December 13. The actor moved Telangana HC for quashing the FIR and sought anticipatory bail. The HC citing Arnab Goswami’s case order of SC had granted 4-weeks interim bail to the actor. Allu Arjun was released from judicial custody on Dec 14.

The arrest drama raises many a question.

• When Police had not given permission to Allu Arjun to visit the Sandhya Theatres, why didn’t it take the actor into custody then and there?
• Why the police waited for the stampede to happen and tragedy to take place, to ask the actor to leave the place immediately due to uncontrollable scenario?
• When road show permission was not given, why it was allowed?
