Nayagarh, Aug 25: Police on Sunday seized a huge cache of illegal goods including tobacco products, shaving razor, and cash during a series of raids at several jails in Nayagarh.
During the surprise raid, the police recovered cash worth over Rs 13,000 from the inmates.
Following recovery of huge cache of narcotics and illegal articles from the Jharpada Special Jail in Bhubaneswar, police conducted raids at Nayagarh Circle jail and three other sub-jails all of a sudden.
A team of Nayagarh police led by the SP during a thorough search in the cells, seized huge quantities of narcotics and tobacco products from the jails which unveiled the poor security system on the campus.
