Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: As a token of Diwali gift, Odisha Housing & Urban Development Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mohapatra accompanied by BMC Mayor Sulochana Das on Saturday distributed allotment letters to eligible slum dwellers in Bhubaneswar, to build their homes.
According to sources, the minister handed over allotment letters to as many as 250 urban-poor beneficiaries residing in the Saliasahi, who will get their new homes at Budhabihar, Chandrasekharpur in the city.
Meanwhile, BMC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HDFC Bank Ltd. to facilitate housing loans for eligible beneficiaries under the Affordable Housing Scheme.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, Mayor Sulochana Das, BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana, and HDFC Bank representatives.
Representing HDFC Bank at the signing ceremony were Arjunananda Bagh, Senior Vice President & Zonal Head, Sushant Kumar Panigrahi, Senior Vice President & Zonal Head, and Animesh Biswal, Senior Vice President & Cluster Head.
