​​​​​​Lousiana(US), April 19: In a heart wrenching incident, eight minor children were killed in US on Sunday, by an unidentified miscreant.

The incident took place at Lousiana this evening.

in Shreveport, according to Police Chief Wayne Smith. The victims ranging in age from one to about 14 years old, he said.

Officials said they were still gathering details about the crime scene, which extended across three locations. Smith said the suspected shooter was fatally shot by police during a vehicle chase.

Some of the children shot were related to the suspect, Smith said.

Louisiana State Police said their detectives have been asked by Shreveport police to investigate into the matter.

In a statement, state police said no officers were harmed in the shooting that involved an officer after a police pursuit into Bossier City on Sunday morning.

To reach at the culprit and his intends, the state police have sought public assistance relating the case in form of pictures, video or information to share it with state police detectives.
