Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: Odisha Vigilance officials on Saturday conducted raids at four places in properties associated with forest ranger officer Rajendra Samantaray in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.

The forest ranger officer Rajendra Samantaray is posted in Rahama Forest Range in Jagatsinghpur district.

Acting on a tip-off, the Vigilance carried out simultaneous house searches in four places including his house in Jagatsinghpur district. The raid is being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 2 Addl SPs, 5 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, and other supporting officers and staffers after getting a search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.

The raid is being conducted in the following places:​​​​​​​

  1. Residential triple-storeyed building located at Chatara, Jagatsinghpur
  2. Double storeyed building at native village, Samantarayapur, PO-Dondo, Dist-Jagatsinghpur
  3. Office located at Forest Range,Sampur,Jagatsinghpur under Cuttack Forest Division
  4. Govt.quarter located in the campus of Jagatsinghpur Forest Range
