Panaji, June 25: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday to discuss various developmental issues concerning the state.
The Chief Minister's Office released a statement noting that Sawant congratulated PM Modi on being sworn in for a third consecutive term and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure.
During his visit to Delhi, Sawant also met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister and BJP President JP Nadda, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Sawant mentioned that he sought PM Modi's guidance and support for 'Viksit Goa' as part of the larger vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047' during their meeting.
Additionally, Sawant discussed preparations for the 55th edition of the International Film Festival of India 2024 with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
