New Delhi, March 15:The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Gynaesh Kumar, announced that bypolls for five assembly seats across Goa, Karnataka, Nagaland, and Tripura will be held on April 9.

Additionally, elections in three constituencies in Gujarat and Maharashtra will take place on April 23. The counting of votes for all eight constituencies is scheduled for May 4.

The bypolls have been called following the demise of the sitting Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in these constituencies.
