GH Victor Joseph assumes additional charge as ECoR AGM

Bhubaneswar, July 7: G.H. Victor Joseph has assumed the additional charge of Additional General Manager (AGM) of East Coast Railway, while continuing as Chief Administrative Officer (Construction/Road Safety Projects).

A civil engineer with over three and a half decades of service in Indian Railways, Joseph holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering (1987) and an M.Tech in Structural Engineering (1990) from the Regional Engineering College, Warangal (now National Institute of Technology Warangal). He joined the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) in 1990.

During his career with South Eastern Railway and East Coast Railway, he has commissioned 145 km of doubling on the strategic Kottavalasa–Kirandul route, completed 90 km of gauge conversion between Naupada and Gunupur, and constructed 24 major railway bridges. He is currently leading the execution of 129 Road Over Bridges (ROBs) worth ₹8,500 crore and the elimination of manned level crossings across the zone in mission mode.

Joseph is a recipient of the General Manager's Award (2003) and the Railway Board's Award for Meritorious Work (2018). In addition to his present responsibilities, he will discharge the duties of Additional General Manager, East Coast Railway, drawing upon his extensive experience in railway infrastructure development, project execution and safety initiatives.
