Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: In preparation for the Independence Day 2024, the full dress rehearsal was held today at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar.
The Police Commissionerate has tightened security checks at several entry points in the capital city of Odisha. Different contingents are carrying out parade rehearsals.
This year the I-Day parade will feature 58 contingents from schools, colleges, police forces, and other organizations including BSF-Khordha, CRPF, ITBP, Armed Police of Chhattisgarh, and traffic police.
Meanwhile, adequate CCTV cameras, bomb detection squads and sniffer dogs would be deployed along the parade venue.
Notably, the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to unfurl the National flag at Bhubaneswar.
