Dhenkanal, May 21: In a swift response to a tip-off from local residents, Mahabiroad Police rescued four minor girls found loitering suspiciously near the high school square in Dasipur village, under Dhenkanal district.
According to sources, the girls—believed to be between six and ten years old—were spotted sitting together in the area without any apparent guardian. Concerned villagers approached the children for their identity but received no information, prompting them to alert the ooo inpolice.
Acting promptly on the information, Mahabiroad Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kashinath Hansda dispatched a team to the location. The girls were brought to the station for further inquiry but were still unable to provide any personal details or contact information.
In light of their safety and well-being, the police transferred the minors to the Dhenkanal Shelter Home. Officer Hansda confirmed the rescue and stated that efforts are underway to ascertain the identity and background of the girls. Further investigation is ongoing.
