Cuttack, Aug 12: Sports associations, players, officials, office bearers and professionals associated with various sporting bodies across Odisha, have sincerely condoled the untimely demise of former Joint Secretary of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Satyabrata Behera, who passed away on Friday. He was 52 years old.
Satyabrata was a member of Football Association of Odisha (FAO) and former Secretary of Rising Students' Club, Cuttack. He too was the Ex-Cricket Secretary of Cuttack District Athletic Association. He was a University Level cricketer.
His contributiona as a sports administrator and organiser were remarkable, revealed office bearers of various sports associations, he was associated with.
Satyabrata is survived by his wife and daughter. He was the eldest son of FAO Secretary Asirbad Behera and elder brother of OCA Secretary Sanjay Behera.
Satyabrata's death has been condoled by office bearers of OCA, FAO and other major sports associations of the state.
His last rites were performed at Puri Swargadwar on Friday, informed sources.
