New Delhi, Aug 14: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, currently in India after her government was ousted by a mass uprising, has called for an investigation into the violence, vandalism, and arson that took place in her country under the guise of protests.

Sheikh Hasina emphasized on Tuesday that those responsible must be identified and held accountable, according to a report by The Daily Star.
Her son, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, shared her statement on his verified Facebook page.
Hasina was forced to resign on August 5 following widespread student protests, during which more than 500 people lost their lives.
