Odisha Minister for Panchayati Raj Department, Rabi Narayan Naik announced it on Wednesday.
Underlining the PMAY, the nations biggest free housing scheme for the under-privileged families Naik urged people to complete their registration much before the deadline.Because, he said the second phase of housing allotment will begin soon after the monsoon season.
Speaking to media, Naik said, “So far as many as 36.81 lakh applications have been registered. Dedicated PMAY portal has been linked with the central portal to deal with the technical glitches.After May 31, a comprensive survey will be conducted to finalise the befitting beneficiaries.
Sharing the details about the Antyodaya Housing Scheme, the minister said that the families who were left out of all existing housing schemes will be provided homes under this initiative.
“In the first phase, nearly 60,000 houses have already been allotted. We are preparing the beneficiary list, and the entire process will be completed within two months,” he added.
