FM College girl’s self-immolation: UGC forms Fact Finding Team to probe ground reality

Bhubaneswar, July 15: With the tragic death of a BEd. girl student in FM Autonomous College Balasore, the University Grant Commission(UGC) formed a Fact Finding Team on Tuesday, in order to exhume the ground realty.

The 4-member fact finding team will study the sequence of incident from the ground, official sources said.

According to the sources, the team will be led by Prof.  Raj Kumar Mittal,   an UGC Member & Professor of Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, as Chairperson. Similarly, Prof. Sushma Yadav, Former Commission Member, Dr. Neerja Gupta and Vice- Chancellor, Gujarat University are assigned as the members whereas Dr. Ashima Mangla Joint Secretary of UGC as the co-ordinating officer.

According to the office order of the UGC , the Fact finding team will furnish a report within 7-day time wherein the ground details on the harsh incident will be mentioned.
