New Delhi, Mar 17: Veteran actress Navnindra Behl, who made her mark in films, television, and theatre, has passed away at the age of 76. The sad news was shared by her son, filmmaker Kanu Behl, on Instagram, where he posted an emotional tribute to his mother. In his heartfelt message, Kanu described his mother as his "Titan" and "guide," reflecting on the profound impact she had on his life.

“My Titan. My faith. Love. Guide. Mentor. My heart. Go well, mumma. Until you birth me again. My eyes shall always seek that irrepressible smile, that warm chuckle, that bear hug, those burning curious eyes. Forever alight. Thank you for lighting my soul," Kanu wrote.

Following the announcement, several members of the film industry expressed their condolences, with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and others sharing messages of support for the family and remembering the beloved actor.

Navnindra Behl had a prolific career, featuring in a range of well-known films. She was part of the critically acclaimed 1996 film Maachis, directed by Gulzar, and also appeared in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! directed by Dibakar Banerjee. Behl was also seen in the popular film Queen, starring Kangana Ranaut. Her filmography extended to international projects like The Pride and The Guru.

On television, Behl was recognized for her role as the grandmother of Nakuul Mehta's character in the popular shows Ishqbaaaz and Dil Boley Oberoi. She had also featured in other television shows such as Viji and Sadaa-E-Vaadi. Her versatile contributions to both Hindi cinema and television will always be remembered.
