Bhubaneswar, October 28: A five-day residential Hands-on Skill Development Training Programme for students of Government Vocational Higher Secondary Schools began at two places in Bhubaneswar simultaneously focusing on different trades.
While the training on IT-ITeS is being held at the Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC) in Bhubaneswar, students are also being trained in Electronics and Hardware at the World Skill Centre (WSC).
The programme was inaugurated at CTTC by Niyati Pattnaik, Director, Directorate of Higher Secondary Education. At the World Skill Centre, the inaugural event was graced by Sasmita Mali, Joint Director, DHSE, T. Thumbyrajah, Principal; and Umakant Sethi, OIC, SAMS among others.
Meanwhile, at Centurion University, the training for the SPEFL trade began on Monday, with around 100 students and teachers participating. Similarly, about 100 students have joined the training sessions at the World Skill Centre and CTTC.
Students from Government Vocational Higher Secondary Schools across Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Khordha, Puri, Nuapada, Mayurbhanj, Balangir, and Gajapati districts are participating in this comprehensive hands-on training programme aimed at enhancing practical competencies and employability.
