Puri, Jul 6: With just nine days remaining for the world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, the Odisha government is set to hold the final high-level coordination meeting on Monday to review preparations for the annual festival.

The review meeting will be chaired by Mohan Charan Majhi at 10:15 am at the Puri Town Hall.

Officials from all concerned departments will present updates on their preparedness for the grand festival. The meeting will focus on ensuring the smooth conduct of rituals, crowd management, security arrangements, and essential public services.

The state government expects a turnout of nearly 15 to 17 lakh devotees during this year's Rath Yatra. Discussions will cover the timely conduct of key rituals, including Pahandi, chariot pulling, and darshan, along with arrangements for traffic management, sanitation, healthcare, drinking water, emergency response, and overall pilgrim convenience.

The meeting will be attended by secretaries of various departments, senior government officials, ministers, the District Collector, Superintendent of Police, servitors of the Jagannath Temple, intellectuals, and representatives of the media to ensure coordinated planning for the successful and safe conduct of the annual chariot festival.
