Koraput, Ap 21: A tragic road accident occurred at Kaliajhali Chowk in Boipariguda, Koraput district, when a pickup van collided head-on with a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of two youths on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Rabinandan Masti from Majhaguda village and Maheshwar Phedapadia from Kandilibeda village.

According to reports, the pickup van was traveling from Ramgiri toward Dandabadi when the motorcycle, carrying the two youth, approached from the opposite direction. A head-on collision at Majhaguda Chowk caused the bikers to be thrown off the vehicle. They were immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility in critical condition, but tragically, both succumbed to their injuries before receiving treatment.

Being informed, the Baipariguda police reached the spot, initiated an investigation, and sent the bodies for postmortem examination. The identities of the pickup driver are yet to be confirmed.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading to this fatal crash.
