Bhubaneswar, Dec 8: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday left for Sohela in Bargarh district to award input subsidy to the farmers.
Majhi will grace the Farmers’ Convention to be held at Sohela in the noon wherein he will also launch the revised Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 3,100 per a quintal of paddy.
Congregation of at least 30,000 farmers is expected in the convention whereas as many as 12,000 farmers will receive their input subsidies and MSPs, said government sources.
Ahead of the CM’s visit to Sohela, Odisha Police Headquarters in line with the district police authorities have made elaborate security arrangements in the area.
