Bhubaneswar, Sep 3: The Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department has invited entries for the 35th State Film Awards (2023) and 36th State Film Awards (2024). Filmmakers and writers are encouraged to submit their works by October 4, 2025.

Film submissions

Producers can submit their films along with the required documents and a soft copy via registered post, speed post, or parcel.

• For the 35th State Film Awards (2023), films must have received certification between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023.
• For the 36th State Film Awards (2024), eligibility is limited to films certified between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

Best article on Odia cinema

Writers and authors can also apply for the Best Article Award on Odia Cinema. Submissions can be in Odia or English, and applicants must send ten copies of their book or monograph to the department by the same deadline, October 4, 2025.
