Bhubaneswar, July 16: Registration of farmers for Kharif paddy procurement in primary cooperative societies began on Monday and the process will continue till August 16.
The department of co-operation has requested farmers to get themselves registered by filling the required form available at cooperative societies.
Farmers can also get forms at primary cooperative societies, authorized women self-help groups and pani panchayats or they can download the form from department website www.foododisha.in.
The state government has issued helpline no 1977 for any assistance.
The registered farmers can sale their paddy from November 1 and the process will continue till March 31.
For new registration, farmers are required to submit copies of record of land rights, bank pass book and Aadhaar card. In case of sharecroppers, they have to submit a consent letter from the landlord along with the registration form. Verification of land and bank details will be done at cooperative societies authorised for paddy procurement.
