Bhubaneswar, April 26: Dr. Satyajit Naik, IGP of the Central Range, Cuttack, and Police Observer for the West Bengal Assembly Elections, conducted a thorough review of the police preparedness in the Katwa Assembly Constituency.
During his visit, Dr. Naik briefed all officers on the Election Commission of India’s core objectives, which include ensuring violence-free, intimidation-free, and inducement-free elections. He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for booth capturing, booth jamming, and source jamming.

Dr. Naik also emphasized the need for Intensive Coverage of Vulnerable Polling Stations and Confidence Building Measures (CBMs)in nearby hamlets to foster public trust.
In addition, extensive area domination and CBMs are being implemented in vulnerable areas to further build public confidence. The coordination between local police and CAPF was reviewed and found to be effective.
Dr. Naik instructed all police personnel to strictly follow the Election Commission's guidelines, warning that any violations would result in stringent legal action.
