Mahindra chief launches premium bobber motorcycle during global chess tournament
Classic Legends has officially introduced its newest motorcycle offering. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra presented the Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber during the Global Chess League 2026. This special launch marks the second addition to the premium styling series, directly following the recent release of the 42 FJ edition. By revealing the bike at an international mind-sports tournament, Mahindra links independent thinking with distinct rider style. This move aligns with the brand's long-term strategy to merge vintage motorcycling heritage with modern lifestyle appeals across India.
Buyers looking for factory-custom appeal will notice several visual upgrades. Designers gave this edition fresh paint choices, unique chequered graphics, and prominent premium branding. Customers can pick from six distinct colorways. Dealerships will stock Silver Knight, Shadow Black, Black Mirror, Jasper Red, Mystic Copper, and one final shade. Silver Knight brings chessboard-inspired styling, while Shadow Black offers a matte finish over the floating-seat profile. Pricing starts at Rs 2,08,942 for Mystic Copper and reaches up to Rs 2,19,942 for Black Mirror.
Proven Mechanics and Engine Specs
Engineers retained the standard mechanical package for this special edition. A 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine powers the motorcycle. It produces 29 hp at 7,500 rpm and delivers 30.01 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. A six-speed gearbox manages power delivery alongside electronic fuel injection.
Handling relies on a double-cradle frame equipped with 35 mm telescopic front forks. At the rear, a gas-charged monoshock provides seven-step preload adjustment. Safety features include a 280 mm front disc, a 240 mm rear disc, and dual-channel ABS. This 177 kg machine sits on a 145mm ground clearance with a 740 mm seat height, drawing fuel from a 12.5-litre tank.
