Bhubaneswar, November 6: The ongoing door-to-door survey in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) areas ahead of the upcoming municipal elections has been extended by another 15 days.

The survey, which was originally scheduled to conclude on November 7, will now continue until November 22. The State Election Commission issued an order to this effect on November 6.

The State Election Commission approved the extension after considering requests from the authorities of both municipal corporations.

The Commissioners of BMC and CMC have been directed to ensure the proper completion of the door-to-door survey within the extended deadline. They have also been instructed to put in place adequate arrangements for regular supervision and monitoring of the exercise.

The Commission has further emphasised that the survey must be completed within the revised timeframe without any further delay.
