Ayodhya (UP) , October 29 : Ayodhya is buzzing with preparations for Deepotsav-2024, set for October 30, where an extraordinary 25 lakh diyas will light up the Sarayu ghats to celebrate Diwali.
This year’s Deepotsav is particularly momentous, being the first following the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya’s grand temple. Uttar Pradesh aims to break a Guinness World Record with this spectacle, an effort involving symmetrical arrangements and a digital count system managed by a team of 330 members, ensuring each diya is accounted for accurately.
Reflecting Ayodhya’s deep-rooted cultural heritage, a three-day art exhibition is also underway at Ram Katha Park, organized by the Lalit Kala Academy. The exhibition showcases sculptures and artworks from the Ramayana, bringing to life Lord Ram’s journey and virtues.
As Diwali approaches, families across India are embracing the spirit of unity and festivity. Homes will be adorned with colorful rangolis, lit diyas, and twinkling lights, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration. Traditional prayers to Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity, delectable sweets, gift exchanges, and dazzling fireworks will enhance the joyful occasion, marking Diwali 2024 as a festival of hope and togetherness.
