New Delhi, November 13: The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has suspended the membership of Al-Falah University, Faridabad, due to concerns about the institution's "good standing." The decision follows reports linking two of its doctors to the November 10 blast near Red Fort in New Delhi. The AIU directed the university to immediately remove its name and logo from all platforms.

In an official statement, the AIU cited the university’s failure to meet membership standards as outlined in its bye-laws. It also ordered the removal of the AIU logo from the university's website. This follows additional scrutiny from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which issued a showcause notice over misleading claims regarding expired accreditations for two of its colleges.

NAAC questioned the university's failure to initiate the necessary re-assessments and demanded that it remove all accreditation details from its website. Meanwhile, Al-Falah University distanced itself from the accused doctors, asserting that no suspicious materials are stored on its premises. The explosion, which killed 12 and injured several others, remains under investigation.
