Bhubaneswar, May 16: Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida on Thursday conducted a comprehensive review of the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC), assessing ongoing initiatives and laying out a roadmap for future development in the sector.
Chairing a high-level meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister evaluated the progress of various tourism projects across the state. The session included a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting OTDC’s current programs and activities. Senior officials, including Commissioner-cum-Secretary Balwant Singh and other departmental officers, were present at the review.
During the meeting, Parida urged officials to align their efforts with the vision of a developed Odisha and work towards positioning the state as a leading tourism destination. She stressed the importance of implementing projects efficiently and with a renewed focus under the new government’s approach.
“The government is fully committed to overall development. Everything will now be executed in a fresh and dynamic style, ensuring there are no delays or obstacles,” she stated.
This review follows a similar meeting held on April 4, during which the Deputy Chief Minister assessed key tourism initiatives, including eco-retreat programs and other OTDC-led projects.
