Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: The much-anticipated Bali Yatra festival in Bhubaneswar is set to begin on November 15, on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.
A meeting to organize the event was chaired by Bhubaneswar North MLA Sushant Rout at a local pandal in the Mancheswar Industrial Estate on Sunday, where a new organizing committee was formed.
The committee includes Yashobanta Ojha as President, Subhas Patra as General Secretary, and Tapan Baliar Singh, Nabakishore Barik, Nirmal Rout, and Ashutosh Samantaray as Vice Presidents. Tapan Das has been appointed Treasurer, while Birendra Jena and Abhay Badjena will serve as advisors.
To ensure a smooth experience for visitors and vendors, efforts are underway to facilitate the allotment of stalls for traders setting up tents at the Bali Yatra. A more spacious area will be designated for vehicle parking, and police personnel along with volunteers will monitor traffic flow to prevent congestion.
This year's Bhubaneswar Bali Yatra promises to be a vibrant celebration, continuing for nine days from Kartik Purnima.
