Mumbai, Dec 6: The highly anticipated film “Akhanda 2” has had its theatrical release indefinitely postponed, disappointing fans who had been eagerly awaiting its arrival in cinemas on the scheduled date. The makers had initially canceled the film’s premiere shows, triggering speculation about potential delays.

Late on the night of December 4, the production team issued an official statement across social media platforms, confirming that the film would not release as planned.

“We regret to inform you that ‘Akhanda 2’ cannot release as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances,” the makers stated in an Instagram post. “We understand the disappointment this may cause to fans and film lovers. Our team is working tirelessly to resolve the issue at the earliest. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

This announcement followed an earlier cancellation of the film’s premiere screenings, which the production house attributed to technical problems.

“Despite our best efforts, certain issues were beyond our control,” the statement read, with the team extending their apologies once again.

“Akhanda 2: Tandavam” stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sanyuktha, and Aadhi Pinisetty in lead roles. The film is directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Tejaswini Nandamuri under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta serving as producers. The music is composed by Thaman and C. Ramprasad, while cinematography is handled by Santosh D.V. and editing by Tamirajulu.

A new release date for the film is expected to be announced soon.
